'Return to Earth' runs for approximately 50 minutes and is bolstered by a wealth of DVD-style bonus material that run for over 2 hours! These include: three teaser trailers, the 'Return To Earth' main trailer, two 'Shades Of Myth' teaser trailers, stills gallery, out-takes reel and 20 minutes of choreography footage from the original ending with new commentary by Scott McQuaid and Li Man Chong. On top of all that it also features three documentary pieces: "Return to Work" - a 20 minute documentary surrounding the on set accident that led to the script changes, "Inside the Concentration Camp: making the music" - a short look inside the studio as hip-hop crew Concentration Camp recorded the theme music, "Behind The Mask" - a 15 minute interview with original story developers Steve Bambury and Scott McQuaid.

The film was completely self funded and produced, with determination and hard work making up for the lack of financial backing. The script was completed in December 2000 and pre-production began in earnest on 1st January 2001 with a location scouting. Principal photography started in February and continued into March as delays began to play their own role. Notably the first major delay came when Li Man Chong suffered the eye injury detailed in the "Return to Work" documentary. No sooner had this obstacle been overcome however when the access to our set was cut of due to the nation-wide Foot and Mouth epidemic. Prior commitments then split the cast up for Four months as Scott McQuaid left for Japan. As such some scenes did not get filmed until October when the outbreak had been contained and Scott McQuaid had returned from Japan. Perseverance definitely paid off in the end.

Kata Hajime have already been assured coverage and reviews by martial arts specialists Eastern Heroes, hip-hop magazine Big Smoke and the Dragonsdenuk.com website. Interest has also arisen from various producers throughout the industry, all seeming impressed with the sheer effort put in by those involved. A release in Japan has been set in motion as footage has been very well received over there.
