An
international web community has recently launched, dedicated to uniting
martial arts fight performers aiming to work in film and television.
Screenfighters.com provides a valuable online resource where members can
find out about performance jobs and opportunities, news and information
and have the chance to communicate with other performers throughout the
world.
Patron
of Screenfighters.com, Sifu Mark Strange, who is a film producer, actor
and fight performer based in the UK, believes the site will be
indispensable to anyone vying for a career in fight performance. It will
also be an extremely useful site for Film and Casting Directors who need
fight performers for their projects.

Mark,
who has worked in Hong Kong film, appearing along side Jackie Chan in 'The
Medallion' and 'Twins Effect',
said, "I only wish Screen Fighters had been around when I started out
working in film! It’s a very special community of martial arts
performers and actors."
The
site will be a comprehensive resource, updated several times each week,
featuring articles, news, information, services, acting / performing jobs
and opportunities and a forum for members to communicate with each other.
Members can also have their Performer Profiles posted online, which will
be accessible to film companies and casting agents looking for talent.
Another service that is to be introduced later this year will enable
members to upload their show reels so that they can further promote their
talents online.
Screenfighters.com
is a member’s only service and anyone interested can join online.
However, off-line events, to include fight performance workshops, will be
held throughout the year and although preference and reduced rate will be
given to Screen Fighters members, these events will be open to all.
