Although
sideways scrolling beat 'em ups don't seem as popular these
days, 'Jackie Chan Adventures' on the GBA has always been an
extremely sought after title. The simple reasoning
behind this is that the game contains an addictive style of
old school gameplay presented in a very competently produced
package. Graphics recreate the looks of the series
perfectly whilst Jackie is able to perform numerous kung fu
combos as well as pick up weapons and interact with the
scenery. Gameplay is stretched across 10 relatively
large stages and each time you uncover a magical scroll you
will learn a new move so there is constantly a reason to
progress. Overall, this is a hugely entertaining game
that will please both fans of the series and old school gaming
in general.
