'Jade Empire' represented something of a departure for martial arts in video games as rather than recreate another stereotypical beat 'em up, it combines fighting elements with all the groundwork of a role playing game (RPG).  Utilising a similar style and control method to Bioware's other hit game, 'Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic', the game is extremely engrossing thanks to the inclusion of numerous fighting styles (30 in total), a refreshingly entertaining storyline and varied gameplay that is dependant on your actions.  If you feel like something with a little more depth than your average one on one beat 'em up then this is definitely a game worth exploring.
